Our accommodation is suitable for anyone that is looking for a comfy,
'home away from home' stay. Whether you are travelling between places, or are here for a particular event, or just getting away for the weekend, our accommodation is close to all the action but is a quiet sanctuary with our lush gardens, outdoor spa and 'bali' day bed, just chill out and relax or walk to all our fantastic, club's, pubs, cafes, restaurants and boutique shopping. Marché Home Stay is the gateway to Newcastle and the Hunter Valley.
Welcome to our bed and Breakfast
situated in the central suburbs of Newcastle. We are 5 minutes drive to Newcastle's beautiful beaches and Harbour. The Hunter Valley wine region is 35 minutes away and the beautiful Lake Macquarie, Australia's largest salt water lake is just 15 minutes south of us. Port Stephens lies 50 minutes to our north, and the airport is just 30 minutes.
Our Queen room has a comfy 'pillow top' mattress, quality linen and a choice of pillow types. There is a fridge in your room with tea & coffee making facilities and enough room for any extra drinks and snacks you may bring with you. Your private ensuite bathroom is huge with a two person bath, a separate 'rainwater' shower and large vanity area with a hairdryer and straightener. Our home is your home, you have full use of all the facilities including our beautiful entertainment deck with our luxurious 8 seater spa, a BBQ , sun lounges and our 'bali' daybed where you can just lie back and while away your day.
We provide a continental breakfast which is complimentary.

Here is some information about our neighbourhood; we are located close to public transport, a bus stop is 50 m away and a taxi rank is just 100m away or an UBER to our door. We are in walking distance to 5 local pubs that have a range of menus from traditional pub grub to something a bit more fancy. A short stroll will take you to 3 Asian restaurants, an Indian restaurant and Newcastle's largest club complex which includes another 5 restaurants, a bistro for cheap & cheerful or the famous 'Hobarts' fine dining restaurant and all the usual facilities in a club. There are two boutique shopping precincts a short walk to and our 'Kotara' shopping centre only 5 minutes away by car. We are also lucky enough to have Newcastle's premier sports stadium and 'Lizottes' a short walk away. Our B&B has parking off the street on a service road.

ADDITIONAL OPTIONS:
SHUTTLE: Mark and I are happy to offer our airport shuttle service for a fee of $60 (UBER is around $70)
MASSAGE: Why not have a relaxing massage during your stay, times are flexible and is $80 for an hour for our guests. NB: Mark is a qualified Massage Therapist.
